The Kids Market

Congratulations on your personal invitation to Centreville Day's inaugural Kids Market!

We're excited to welcome a select group of kid-preneurs to the 34th annual festivities.

Our goal is to create opportunities that foster the entrepreneurial spirit and give the next generation of artists and small business owners a place to shine.

  • Participation Requirements

The #1 rule: Kids run the booth the entire time.

Children must sell at their booth (no walking the aisles).

Do not yell to attract customers.

    Bartering is NOT allowed.

Sold out? Put up a "Sold Out" sign and enjoy the rest of the market.

Participants must be in fourth (4th) through twelfth (12th) grade and able to run their booth completely on their own when interacting with customers.

That means your child must be able to:

    • Take and fulfill orders
    • Answer customer questions
    • Take payment and make change

Parents may help their child when needed, but cannot interact with the customers directly. If your child cannot do these things with minimal help, consider  simplifying the product or wait for a future date when they are able to do so.

Booths must stay fully set up for the entire event. Early breakdown is not allowed due to site-speciffic logistics.

Every booth must have a child actively selling.

Due to space in the pavilion, we allow no more than 3 children selling per booth.

  • Parents Code of Conduct

Describe the item or answer the question so that site visitors who are interested get more information. You can emphasize this text with bullets, italics or bold, and add links.
  • Registration & Fees

For this initial year, there is no fee per booth.

  • "Can I sell ____?"

Kids can sell art, handmade items, games, services etc.

    Absolutely NO:

    • Food or beverages
    • Fundraisers
    • MLMs (multi-level marketing)
    • Live animals
    • Regulated items (firearms, medicinal products, etc.)

Children cannot sell products on behalf of their parents.

Every child must have an active role in making or sourcing their product.

  • What's Included and What to Bring

Centreville Day will provide a canopy pavilion that shelters multiple vendors as well as a 6' table.

You will be responsible for bringing your own chairs.

Your space will be 10' wide (facing customers) and 5' deep (interior of the tent). Please be considerate of neighbors behind you and to the sides when placing a backdrop.

Due to the nature of shared space, all storage totes, etc. must be returned to vehichles or stored under your table.

One registration = one booth, even if multiple children are selling different products in the same booth.

A canopy covering and 6’ table will be provided.

Bring all your own supplies.  Chairs, tablecloths, items for sale, sales tools, etc..

No power is provided and no generators are allowed.

    Crowd-friendly pets are welcome.
